Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that deals with the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. Pediatrics differs from adult medicine in many respects. The research specialty of pediatrics covers many differing medical issues.
Providence Medical Research Center and Sacred Heart Children's Hospital both conduct pediatric research. Sacred Heart Children's Hospital is dedicated to excellence in the delivery of family-centered health care for infants, children and adolescents, inspired by the caring ministries of the Sisters of Providence. Their vision is to ensure a family-centered environment in a teaching and research-based health care delivery system. As part of our offerings we provide research opportunities to children and families in the pacific northwest.
Current research studies in the field of pediatrics are listed at the right.
