Katherine R. Tuttle, MD

Dr. Tuttle's research interests are in the areas of diabetic kidney disease, hypertension, renal vascular disease and nutrition. She is associate editor of the American Journal of Kidney Diseases. Dr. Tuttle is co-chair of the National Kidney Foundation, Kidney Disease Outcomes Quality Initiative Workgroup for Diabetes and Chronic Kidney Disease and the chair of the Healthcare Provider Workgroup for the National Diabetes Education Program (National Institutes of Health). She is also co-chair of the Institutional Review Board-Spokane, which oversees the protection of human subjects in clinical research. She serves on the boards of the Washington Technology Center and the College of Sciences at Washington State University.
Dr. Tuttle has received the Outstanding Clinical Faculty award and is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She has a dual appointment as professor of Basic Medical Sciences in the WWAMI program of Washington State University. Dr. Tuttle holds fellowships in the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Nephrology. She also is currently a member of the Scientific Evaluation Board for the National Kidney Disease Education Program.

Arvind Chaudry, MD Hematology/Oncology
Dr. Chaudhry received his medical degree from Christian Medical College in Punjab, India in 1989.and completed his Doctoral thesis in neuroendocrine tumors from Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden. He then completed a residency at S.U.N.Y. Health Sciences Center in Syracuse, New York. and a fellowship at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland in 1998.
N. Roger Cooke, MD Neurology
Dr. Cooke received his medical degree from Yale University and completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. His clinical interests include all types of neurological problems: nerve conduction tests, electromyography, electroencephalography. Dr. Cooke is board certified in Neurology and is the Neurologist for the Providence Holy Family Multiple Sclerosis Center.
Joseph A. Davis, M.D. Specialty: Vascular Surgery
Dr. Davis attended college at Southwest Missouri State University and Medical School at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Carl Garabedian, MD Pediatric Cardiology
Dr. Carl Garabedian has focused on bringing new techniques to the cardiac catheterization laboratory. These techniques allow children to avoid heart surgery for common conditions such as atrial septal defects, patent ductus arteriosus, coarctation of the aorta and patent foramen ovale associated with stroke. Other techniques such as coil embolization of vessels, angioplasty and stenting of narrowed vessels allow children and adults with congenital heart disease to minimize the number of operations required. He is dedicated to caring for all children with congenital heart disease and frequently travels on medical missions with Heart Care International.
Madeline Geraghty, MD Neurology
Dr. Geraghty completed her medical school training at the University of California, San Francisco. Moving to colder climates, she completed her residency in General Neurology at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics where she also served as the Chief Resident during her final year. She has completed a fellowship in Vascular Neurology and is board certified in both General and Vascular Neurology. Dr. Geraghty currently works at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital, serving as the Medical Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Christopher Kishiyama, MD Pediatric Endocrinology
Dr. Kishiyama received his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Rodney Raabe, MD Interventional Radiology/ Neuroradiology
Dr. Raabe attended medical school at the University of Oregon. He completed his residency at the University of Utah. He then completed fellowships in Ultra Sound /CT and Angiographic & Interventional Radiology at the University of Utah. Dr. Raabe chaired the national "Legs for Life" program to promote screening and awareness for peripheral vascular disease. He has also been a Primary Invstigator or involved in the leadership of several national multi-center trials.
Michael Ring, MD Cardiology
Dr. Ring received his undergraduate degree at UCLA and graduated from Vanderbilt Medical School in 1982. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Arizona followed by an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Boston University in 1989. Dr. Ring has practiced in Spokane since 1990 with the exception of one year spent teaching at the University of Connecticut in 2005. He is a past president of the Spokane County Medical Society and currently serves as Medical Director of the Cardiac Services Line and Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories at Sacred Heart Medical Center. Dr. Ring is board certified in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. His clinical interests include interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular disease.

Leland Siwek, MD Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgery
Dr. Siwek received his medical degree from Harvard MedicalSchool and residencies at Harvard's Massachusetts General Hospital. His areas of particular interest include Congenital Heart Disease, Mitral Valve Repair, Complex Aortic Valve Surgery and Minimally invasive (especially Robotic) heart surgery.
Carla Smith, MD, PhD Orthopaedic Surgery and Orthopedic Trauma
Dr. Smith earned her medical degree and PhD at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She completed her internship in Surgery and residency in Orthopedics at the University of Washington. Her fellowships include Orthopedic Trauma at the University of Zurich and at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. She began her international experience with a fellowship through the Orthopedic Research and Education Foundation in Thimphu, Bhutan. She is a board member and volunteer surgeon with the Surgical Implant Generation Network, Richland, Washington, and supports and coordinates the seven affiliated hospital programs in Nepal. Her research interests include the care of the fragility fracture patient, outcomes after medullary nailing of long bones in the austere environment, and the care of the trauma patient. She is an active clinician, providing care for trauma and fracture patients in Spokane and travels regularly to teach and promote fracture care throughout the world.
Sandy L. Tidwell, RN, MN, ARNP Wound Care
Sandra attended college at Pacific Lutheran University, earning a B.S. in Nursing. She also completed a Master of Nursing at the University of Washington and obtained her ARNP degree at Seattle Pacific University. Sandra is a nurse practitioner at Inland Vascular Institute and Providence Sacred Heart Wound clinic. She is a member of the American Heart Association/Washington Affiliate, AHA Council on Cardiovascular Nursing, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and Sigma Theta Tau.
Jorge Enrique Tolosa, MD, MSCE Perinatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology
Dr. Tolosa earned his medical degree at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (PUJ) in Bogotá, Colombia and his MSCE at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed residencies in OB/GYN at the PUJ and the Pennsylvania Hospital (PH) in Philadelphia and fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at PH. Dr. Tolosa has a special interest in preterm birth (PTB), medical complications of pregnancy, prenatal diagnosis and ultrasound. His research interests include prevention of PTB and low birth weight, exposures in pregnancy (tobacco and pesticides) and ultrasound use in pregnancy. He founded and coordinates the Global Network for Perinatal and Reproductive Health (GNPRH) (http://www.gnprh.org/), to improve the health of mothers and babies in low and middle income countries. He is the principal investigator for the Maternal Fetal Medicine Units Network of the NICHD-NIH, at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. He established a site of this network at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital.
Angela D. Trobaugh-Lotrario, MD Pediatrics/Pediatric Hematology-Oncology
Dr. Trobaugh-Lotrario earned her medical degree at the Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. She completed her Pediatric residency and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. She participates in various clinical research studies and is a member of the Rhabdoid Tumor Working Group and the Liver Tumor Subcommittee of the Rare Tumors Committee with the Children's Oncology Group. Her interests are in rare tumors, especially liver tumors.

Neil Worrall, MD Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgery
